Lightning Piggy is open-source and easy to set up with a web installer (connecting to your wallet using tools like LNbits or Nostr Wallet Connect). Where you place your tech is up to the imagination. Paper cut shapes, 3D-printed items, an old toy, Lego? Just check all creative cases available on their website.

How about the usage?

Nothing to worry about.

Kids can receive sats with a quick scan of the QR code visible on the piggy. Easy. To refresh the status, shake the piggy and, voilà, newly collected funds display in seconds (⚡️🐽 fun!). Want to send sats back? Log into your LNbits to pay a Lightning invoice or move to a Bitcoin address.

BONUS: You can also set a personalized wallet-address (like 'name@lightningpiggy(.)com' ) to accept LN payments from anywhere in the world. Sure, you could carry your piggy to different places around, but for safety, it’s probably better to keep it at home.
